ModShot was born from speed  shooting competition and had 3 main design objectives - (1) Minimalist Design, (2) Use of Modern Materials, (3) Maximize Weight Reduction without sacrificing Rigidity.

For rimfire sports the stresses put on the equipment for multiple string shooting of rimfire loads was not the same as hunting, benchrest or long range precision shooting.  Neither heavy or high powered optics or bipods are mounted, and weapons are bagged until use, then shot for short strings requiring ultra-fast low ready draws and target transitions.

A super light stock that compromises heft for speed but that offers better ergonomics and repeatable positioning offered a benefit.  It’s more racecar than pry-bar.
